Sample Spotlight – Huygens Exfoliating Cream
I’ve had a huge stash of samples, locked away in a drawer for months, I never use them! I’ve recently decided to dig through the samples that I have in the hopes of clearing out my sample drawer. I’m also hoping I can find some new products that I enjoy using and will repurchase full sizes of.
I don’t have a skincare routine and I should because let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger. My skin is extremely dry and foundation accentuates the dry patches and that’s something I’m trying to improve. I do love a good face scrub, so when I came across this Huygens Exfoliating Cream, I was looking forward to trying it out. I’ve been trying it for about a week and I’ve already noticed a difference in my skin, it isn’t as dry and feels softer than before.
Packed with skin-friendly ingredients like nourishing sesame oil and antioxidant-boosting green tea, this gentle face scrub from Huygens is perfect for all skin types. Rice powder particles work to purify and lift away dead skin cells without irritation, while the creamy formula leaves skin soft and hydrated. Effectively, its healthy skin in a jar!
So, I’ll start off with the scent of the Exfoliating Cream, I’m really bad at describing scents so bare with me! To me, it smells like citrus mixed with a hint of green tea but the overall scent is very light and non-offensive, which I like.
What did I Like?
I love the texture of the Exfoliating cream, it’s thick but easily spread around your face and due to the thickness, you only need a tiny amount which will make the product last longer, a bonus in my opinion. I found the actual exfoliating beads to be gentle enough for daily use, but still rough enough to give your face a good scrub to remove all dead skin cells and dirt effectively.
My skin felt so fresh and smooth after using the Exfoliating Cream, I can’t ever remember using a scrub that made my skin feel so soft and refreshed. It didn’t irritate my skin at all and I felt I had a glow to my skin, something I haven’t had for a while as I’ve been suffering from dry, dull skin since having my son.
What did I dislike?
I received this sample in a Birchbox, a long time ago and it’s a Birchbox Exclusive so I believe you can only purchase it here, on the Birchbox store. It retails at £17.89 for a 50ml tub which I think is a fairly reasonable price, the sample pot I have is 10ml and a little goes a long way!
Would I purchase a full size?
Yes! Definitely, I loved how my skin felt after using it and the price is reasonable too, plus I really enjoy the scent.
